Call for Participants: Expansion of Point of Entry
Point of Entry is a catalog of scars oil painted on broken mirror. Each oil painting has a carved line defining the incision of the scar, allowing the viewer to see themselves reflected within the scar.
A scar is a visible story left behind by experience. Each story here is evidence of the subject revealing an intimate detail about themselves; whether the scar was inflicted by an accident or on purpose, by injury or by surgery, by mere scrape or by significant trauma, each piece of this mosaic invites the viewer to engage in the empathetic exchange of glimpsing into a life not their own and seeing a part of themselves.
If you have a significant scar and would like to participate in the project, please email me at natashazeta.art@gmail.com.
